Problem:
Need security against theft and solar control to storefront glass
Solution: Applied Armorcoat Stainless Steel 8 mil Mylar Safety/Security window film to the entire storefront. Then we attached the window film to the frame system with Dow Corning 995 Structural Silicone Caulk. The film and caulk system holds glass together in the frame in the event of impact from flying debris or burglary while reducing solar heat gain coming through the glass.
